un petit lien de la part des collègue Allemand avec lesquels je travail sur le projet niaxe il s’agit du « collectif nil » aus Karlsruhe !!
Ils développent le projet de lap top ensemble « benoît & the mandelbrots ». Certains diront qu’ils ne font que s’envoyer des lignes de code, d’autre fermeront les yeux et écouteront paisiblement…

Oui, ils m’avaient répondu – voici le contenu du mail. Ils ont des problèmes de financement, mais il y aura un démo public le 15/16 février à Londres…

« – At the moment, Syntact is still not a finished product… There are still several issues we need to solve, however, we ran out of funding in order to be able to continue, so, at the moment, it is difficult to say when it will be ready for sale… We are doing our best to find a solution asap…
– For the moment, the Band-in-a-Hand software runs on Linux and Windows, but the plan is to make it run also on Mac…
– Syntact takes any audio and turns it into a tactile signal
– Syntact uses a camera to extract different descriptors from the live image of the hand:
– quantity of motion
– area coverage
– contour length
– bounding box
– angles of fingers…
Then you can do whatever you want with this data… You send it from the Syntact control panel out via MIDI or OSC… (value range: (0 – 127)) …and you can map these values to any sound synthesis/processing parameters in your favourite music production software. – Then you take this audio as an input to Syntact and make it tangible…
Demos are possible… If you are in Ljubljana, you can drop by at our Lab… The next public demo is planned for 15/16th February in London…. We will announce the exact date and location very soon, on our website… »
